 How Did We End Up Here? Epic 'adjective' ...describes events that happen over a long period and involve a lot of action and difficulty: an epic journey/struggle. The Cambridge Dictionary It was meant to be a simple mountain bike ride to the top of Mount Kosciuszko on a beautiful mid summer’s day. As we reached the top a squall charged up the valley and next minute I was huddled under my pack trying to protect myself from the hail? The homeward trip took on ‘epic’ proportions as we rode through torrential rain, hail and mud. Later as I stood under the shower full clothed I felt like I’d been mauled by a Polar Bear. So using the term ‘Epic’ has become short hand for trips and adventures that took on a life of there own. In this section I will as time allows be posting my trip stories. The tongue will be firmly planted in the cheek as with all epics that tales only grow larger with time. So keep and eye on this section cos there’s much more to come. God bless, David
